What is Cyber Hygiene ?

Cyber hygiene is a reference to the practices and steps that users of computers and other devices take to maintain system health and improve online security. These practices are often part of a routine to ensure the safety of identity and other details that could be stolen or corrupted..

How do you maintain cyber hygiene?

  1. Changing passwords regularly to enhance cybersecurity.
  2. Updating software to ensure the most secure versions are in use.
  3. Updating hardware to maintain performance and prevent problems.
  4. Managing new hardware and software installs.
  5. Limiting user access to data resources.

What are the statistics of Cybercrime in India ?

With over 2328 attacks per day, an average of 8,00,000 occur in a year and on average, there is a hacker attack every 39 seconds. It is estimated that 2023 will face around 33 billion account breaches in India.

Why is there requirement of Cyber Hygiene Education in India ?

Cyber Hygiene knowledge is important because it protects all categories of data of an individual  from theft and damage. This includes sensitive data, personally identifiable information (PII), protected health information (PHI), personal information, intellectual property, data, and governmental and industry information systems.

Currently we are running a nationwide program on Cyber Hygiene for Children, Youth, Adults and Elderly. Our Cyber hygiene program helps people understand the vital role they play in helping to combat cyberattacks – at work or at home
