Role Overview:
We are seeking a Sustainability Intern to assist with various sustainability initiatives aimed at improving various ESG reporting efforts. This role will provide hands-on experience of using a few sustainability frameworks among CSRD, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, GRI, IFRS S1 and S2, UNGC, CDP based on the requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
● Creating framework-specific taxonomies and catalogues for sustainability frameworks and regulations such as CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), IFRS S1 and S2 (International Financial Reporting Standards), GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), UNGC (United Nations Global Compact), and CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project).
○ Develop a list of data points that companies need to report for each framework, including IFRS S1 and S2, CSRD, GRI, UNGC, and CDP.
○ Create a classification system for framework-specific data points (e.g., descriptive, numeric, semi-narrative, tables, etc.).
○ Cross-link dependent and related data points across frameworks.
○ Develop a tagging system for each data point based on framework requirements, such as mandatory, subject to materiality assessment, voluntary, etc.
● Create framework-specific standard reports aligned with CSRD, IFRS S1 and S2, and UNGC.
● Assist in framework mapping and gap analysis (e.g., map CSRD against IFRS S1, GRI, CDP to identify common reporting data points and conduct a gap analysis).
● Conduct research on industry trends, regulatory changes, and sustainability best practices.
● Create presentations and supporting materials that summarize the results of research, framework mapping, taxonomy development, and gap analysis, to be used in meetings with internal teams or external stakeholders.
